Interesting Facts About Arnold Schwarzenegger
Growing up in Austria, his home had no indoor plumbing or phone. His father was a police chief and a member of the Nazi party.
While in the Austrian military, he went AWOL to perform in a bodybuilding competition. He ended up spending 7 days in a military prison for this.
Arnold appeared once on The Dating Game.
He won his first bodybuilding competition at age 20 and has won a total of seven Mr. Olympia titles.
He was already a millionaire when he decided to get into acting after taking the money he won in bodybuilding and investing in California real estate in the 1970's.
Mark Hamill advised Arnold to get rid of his accent and change his name in order to do better in Hollywood. Arnold chose to ignore this advice.
Arnold has starred in 48 movies to date with several being comedies including "Junior" and "Twins".
He is one of two California govenors that were foreign born. The other was John Downey in 1860.
Schwarzenegger wasn’t James Cameron’s first choice to play the Terminator. Cameron originally wanted someone who looked very normal and average, and could disappear into a crowd.
Arnold tried out for the role of the Incedible Hulk but lost out to Lou Ferrigno who played Hulk for five seasons.
The mayor of Thal, Austria, the city in which Schwarzenegger was born, sent Arnold the address plaque of his childhood home for his 60th birthday, with the message “This belongs to him. No one will ever be assigned that number again.” Arnold was actually born in the house.

There are countries not on this list that are enforcing ISPM-15 without any published regulation. It is recommended to use ISPM-15 compliant wood packaging regardless of international destination.
