Our Quality Control Course is designed to introduce technologies and sustainability processes that support the constant state of change we all face in managing the quality effort. Participants will learn how to implement “Go-See Assessments”, “Quality at the Source” and other techniques to help identify abnormalities and drive out errors in product quality. This class is designed for associates who are relatively new to managing the quality process; though empowered to drive change. Optimizer Technicians, Equipment Operators, Quality Control Personnel and all levels of Leadership are invited to attend.

General Itinerary: Lunch will be provided all 3 days of class
Monday: Guests can check in after 3 pm
Tuesday: 8am-4pm - We will learn the basics of Quality Control. We will complete a “Process Flow Map” of a basic sawmill from log yard to finished goods and identify where quality based deficiencies are most likely to occur.
Wednesday: 8 am-4 pm - Participants will work together, developing processes and visual audits to eliminate or significantly reduce the identified deficiencies.
Thursday: 8 am-4 pm - We will explore the use of current technologies readily available throughout the industry to collect the data from these audits / processes for use in regression analysis, supporting capital investments, etc.
