Interesting Facts About the Singer Johnny Cash
Johnny Cash was not his real name. It was originally J.R. Cash (no names with the initials). When he joined the Air Force they would not accept him as a candidate with only his initials, so he wrote John R. Cash.
At age 12, Cash helped dig his brother Jack's grave after an accident with a table saw killed him.
Cash worked as a Morse Code operator intercepting Soviet Army transmissions in Germany. It is rumored he was the first American to receive the news that Josef Stalin had died.
Cash had a spider named after him. The spider, named Aphonopelma Johnnycashi, is a black, hairy tarantula that was found in abundance near Folsom Prison.
Cash was known to self hypnotize himself in order to memorize the lyrics to the songs he sang.
Johnny Cash broke onto the music scene in 1955, with a deal from Memphis's Sun Records. By 1969 Cash was an international hit, eclipsing even The Beatles in album sales.
Information Regarding Stamp Orders
When ordering stamps, it is important to keep the following information in mind.
First, make sure you specify the correct type of stamp you are wanting to order: IPPC, Dunnage, or HT. Stating you want to order an Heat treat or HT stamp when you are needing an IPPC mark can cause mistakes and delays in receiving the proper mark you need.
Second, make certain you know the size you are needing. The most common sizes produced for TP stamps are 1 ¼" x 2 1/2" and 2" x 4" but stamps can be made to any size to fit the application.
Third, know the type of rubber you need.
There are different types of rubber used to make the stamp dies, natural rubber and buna rubber, and some people will use photopolymer to make the stamp dies. All provide different characteristics and benefits. Ink choice needs to be considered when choosing the rubber type used
Next, if you need ink there are several types of inks used for stamping wood.
Know what type of backing you need on the stamp.
Also, know the type of handle to order if needed.
