Accredited by the International Accreditation Service, Inc., a subsidiary of the International Code Council, our quality control programs are recognized by code officials in the US as well as other countries.
CROSS LAMINATED TIMBER (CLT)
CLT is a product that is made by layering up alternating layers of dimensional lumber perpendicular to each other, resulting in a panel that has high strength, stability and rigidity properties. CLT has long been used in Europe and now is a growing market in the US. TP is accredited to audit CLT manufacturers by The International Accreditation Service (IAS) as a Type A inspection body under ISO 17020.
GLUE LAMINATED BEAMS (GLULAM)
TP also audits the quality of GluLam beam manufacturers. Similar to finger jointed lumber production, GluLam production requires daily quality control by the plant to test the shear strength of the face bonds, the tensile strength of the finger joints, and the glue bondline durability, in addition to other attributes that require ongoing testing as well. TP now has seven DSA Certified Glulam Inspectors approved by the Division of the State Architect (DSA) for the state of California.
